Tendi Sherpa at the Mount Everest summit with the SpecOps Biosciences No Blisters. No Limits. campaign message

Built to keep people moving.

SpecOps Biosciences is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned performance foot-care company born from a combat medic's mission to protect Special Forces candidates from blisters.

Our story

One preventable problem became the mission.

SpecOps Biosciences was founded by Jeffrey Bayless, a former combat medic and Navy commander who saw blisters repeatedly take capable people out of training.

The first problem was specific: protect Special Forces candidates from a common foot injury before it cost them focus, time, and forward progress. That field observation became a broader performance foot-care company for anyone whose next rep, mile, climb, or duty day matters.

Today, the Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned company carries a direct mission into every product decision: We Prevent Blisters.

Founder perspective

Protect the feet before the mission asks more of them.

From military medicine to everyday endurance.

The company story is not about making foot care complicated. It is about recognizing the early signal, understanding the conditions around it, and using the right tool for the right stage.

That approach now serves competitive athletes, athletic trainers, hikers, runners, adventurers, and military teams—different environments connected by the same need to stay ready and keep moving.

Read the science

Act before the blister

A hot spot is an early warning. SpecOps Biosciences focuses on helping people protect intact skin before repeated movement turns irritation into a formed blister.

Build for real interfaces

Feet do not move in isolation. Footwear, socks, load, moisture, terrain, equipment, and time all shape the problem, so preparation has to address the complete system.

Keep the solution focused

Prevention and treatment are different jobs. UltraThin Moleskin is for known hot spots on intact skin; hydrocolloid blister care is for an already-formed blister.

Built for people who keep going.

Athletes & teams

Training, competition, new footwear, and repeated cutting create predictable stress zones that deserve attention before performance is interrupted.

Hikers & adventurers

Long mileage, elevation, load, terrain, and changing conditions make disciplined foot preparation part of the route plan.

Military personnel

The company began with the foot-care problem seen among Special Forces candidates, where a small injury can carry an outsized operational cost.

Proof follows the mission.

The environments change, but the requirement does not: prepare early, protect the interface, and keep the person focused on what comes next.
